NBA Season Begins!

Good Morning Readers!

Tonight is the night that the 2014-15 NBA season begins! LeBron went back to Cleveland, Derrick Rose and Kobe is back, Kevin Durant is hurt, along with many other things. I don't know about many of you, but I'm pretty excited to see what this season has in store. Many people that I have come across have said that the NBA isn't the same anymore. All they want to do is tricks and don't want to pass the ball. Even the veteran himself Charles Barkley has said that!

I can say that it isn't the same as when Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Dr. J, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Michael Jordan was playing, but personally, I wouldn't expect it to be. Everyone has their own style of talent. There is times when there would be too may dunk attempts, but I'm pretty sure that the players just want to keep the crowd in the game.

Last, I believe that there is a lot of talent and they have much to prove which I believe that they will. I love seeing fresh legs going up and down the court showcasing talent and making their mark in the league. I look forward to continue blogging because there is going to be PLENTY of highlights! By the way the 2013-14 NBA Champions will be in action tonight against the veteran Dallas Mavericks at 8 PM followed by the Lakers vs Rockets... Enjoy! Until next time,...stay tuned

Week 6 of The NFL

Goood Morning Readers!!!

Just writing to see how you feel about the NFL season so far? Is your team in the running for the playoffs? Right now it's a debate on who America's favorite team is...the Dallas Cowboys or the Denver Broncos. In my opinion, this is a hard decision because you have the Cowboys who has been America's team since they came into existence (forever) and now you have the modern Day Denver Broncos because they now have one of the GREATEST Quarterbacks in the game right now, and that's Peyton Manning!

Both teams now have a 6-1 record! The games that they play has been so good that it makes you anticipate the next time that they play. I am pretty sure that everyone wants to see both teams make it to the Super Bowl! The Broncos hasn't won one since the John Elway era that ended in '98 and the Cowboys hasn't won one since '95. In my opinion, both teams are due for one! Lets not count out teams like the Colts, Ravens, Patriots, Cardinals, Packers, and the Colts.

It seems to me of course that a lot of teams came to play this season! With going into week 7, seems that I will be glued to either the TV, computer, or my phone! Be sure to respond and let me know who your team is and how they've done thus far. I would LOVE to hear from you! Until next time...Stay tuned.

The Jameis Winston Situation

We all know about Jameis Winston, the 2013 Heisman trophy winner, and Florida State University Quarterback, and now accused of sexually assaulting a coed on the FSU Campus. It's so sad that a situation such as this one can come up on someone with a promising future, and I am talking about both Jameis and the young lady. The situation is just now surfacing again because the young lady did not know the name of her accuser at the time of the incident until one day she walked into the class room, noticed his face, and then reported who he was.

As a sports fan, it just makes you wonder what do these students be thinking? Now we all have been there and done that in our younger years on the college campus having our version of fun, but it doesn't excuse the mistakes that are made when we are not thinking and end up suffering the consequences later on in life. The situation has now seemed to turn the tables on the victim. It is starting to look like she was just out to ruin his reputation and career.

It is so sad because it seems like the REAL truth will never come out from where it is hard to determine whether it was consensual or not. Here Jameis is having to have this follow him for the rest of his life and  throughout his career and the victim is going to be looked at as a liar and schemer for a period of time in her life until it all dies down.

I hope that high school, middle school and little league coaches around the world will take the time out and talk to their players about situations such as this one before they get to college. I'm not trying to say that the talk will save them from making future mistakes, but at least there will be a possibility that they will think twice about it. My heart just goes out to all victims and accusers. It makes you think back to the Brian Banks story.

Well that is all that I have to blog about for now, but until next time...STAY TUNED!

2014 College Football Hall Of Fame Dedication Gala & Enshrinement Ceremony

ATLANTA- Have you ever participated or witnessed an event that you will go on to remember for the rest of your life? On October 7, 2014 this happened to me by attending the 2014 Dedication and Enshrinement Gala to honor the 2013 College Football Hall of Fame Class! This class included 12 players and two coaches. The players were Ted Brown-TB (NC State), Tedy Bruschi-DE (Arizona), Ron Dayne-RB (Wisconsin), Tommie Frazier-QB (Nebraska), Jerry Gray-DB (Texas), Steve Meilinger-E (Kentucky), Orlando Pace-OT (Ohio State), Ron Shoate-LB (deceased; Oklahoma), Percy Snow-LB (Michigan State), Vinny Testaverde-QB (Miami), Don Trull-QB (Baylor), Danny Wuerffel-QB (Florida). The coaches were Wayne Hardin-Navy (1959-64); Temple (1970-82) and Bill McCartney-Colorado (1982-94).

As a blossoming sports analyst and writer, I least expected to experience this so soon! As I received my media pass, I instantly felt a feeling of excitement and honor as I turned to walk in the museum. Upon my arrival, I was in the mist of the reception ceremony looking at everyone as they ate and sipped on wine and cocktails while networking. I knew then, I had hit another milestone in my career! My photographer and I then went on to take photos and shoot some footage to make sure that every moment was captured. After about 10 minutes of being at the reception, we were called back to the football field for the enshrinement. ceremony.

The enshrinement ceremony went as follows:
-show opening presented by ESPN's Tom Hart,
-the welcome to Atlanta presented by President & CEO of the Atlanta Hall Management John Stephenson,
-remarks from the Chairman of the Board for the Atlanta Hall Management Steve Robinson,
-building dedication from the Chairman of the Board for the National Football Foundation Archie Manning
-Introduction of the 2014 College Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Class
-Hall-of-Fame Class Speaker Danny Wuerffel
-Hall-of-Fame Blade Presentation from Jack Lengyel, National Football Foundation Board Member

After the ceremony, of course there were more pictures, interviews, and autographs from the players and coaches. There you have it! This is how my night went. I hope that I was able to keep you as my readers excited to see what's in store for me next as I look to continue to share my journey with you! Until next time...
